About Katie

When we were first showing Jake, we saw Edie Ward’s (Baileymist) girl Denver at the 2019 Golden Retriever Club of Canada’s regional show.  She was beautiful – and also moved beautifully – and was awarded Best of Breed.
We spoke with Edie later that year, and we told her we wanted a show puppy out of Denver – and we could wait. And wait  we did – some three years and a bit before Edie called us and said “I think I have a puppy for you”.  A week later, Katie was in our arms and lives.
We love this girlie!  Besides being lovely structurally, she is a great representative of the Golden Retriever temperament.  She is soooo sweet and a cuddler extraordinaire.  She’s ready for anything, anytime (yup, I’m in!), and takes everything in stride.  She is super smart, and has a great nose, and based on how she swims out to follow the ducks at the cottage, retriever instinct. She is an independent thinker, but aims to please.  Also, food is a really good thing.

We love having Katie as part of our family, and look forward to doing so many more things with her!
