We have found the following links useful in understanding a Golden Retriever’s purpose and what breeders should aim for.  You may find them useful to guide what you may want to look for, and what to think about and check as you consider adding a Golden to your family.

 

The Golden Retriever breed clubs exist to support the preservation of the breed as it is defined in the Breed Standard, and to educate the public about the breed, including activities you can do as well as health issues and what to look out for as you research the breed and your eventual breeder.

National Kennel Clubs are the primary registry bodies for purebred dogs in their countries.  They regulate dogs shows and performance events, and also perform purebred dog education and advocacy functions, to just name a few.
